An explanation of  award winning* Terrick Beef Cuts

After purchase, if you do not intend to cook your meat within 24 hours you should freeze it immediately.  When you take it out of the freezer, remove the packaging prior to defrosting.

If you do intend to cook the meat within 24 hours it is advisable to remove the plastic packaging and place the meat on the bottom shelf of your fridge, well away from any cooked meats, at a temperature of less than 5oC (five degrees centigrade).

ROASTING JOINTS

Terrick Beef joints are sold per kilo/lb. You can request any size from 0.5kilos (1lb 1oz) upwards.

Meat will be weighed in front of you on collection with the price and weight recorded.

An average size joint of 1.5 kilos (3lbs) would feed a family of four.

TOPSIDE & SILVERSIDE

Typical English roasting joints, taken from the top of the leg at the back end of the beast, rolled and tied with string to produce the familiar Sunday roast.

 

 

BRISKET:

Taken from the front end.  Best cooked very slowly in the American pot roast style on a low heat initially in a small amount of liquid, with more liquid added and thickened towards the end of cooking time.  Perfect for slow cookers.

 

 

FORE RIB:

Looks like a huge lamb chop, popular with those who enjoy the unique flavour to be gained from cooking meat on the bone.

 

 

TOP RUMP:

Extremely tasty, succulent roasting joint.

 

 

 

SIRLOIN JOINT

The King of roasting joints.  This is a magnificent dish to serve on special occasions.  Taken from the same area as sirloin steak.

FILLET JOINT

The ultimate beef cut.  Used in traditional Beef Wellington recipe, wrapped in pastry with pate topping.

 

 

STEAKS :

There are two Terrick Beef steaks in each tray.  On your order form simply write the number of trays you want or the total weight.

FILLET STEAK

The best cut of beef it is possible to buy.  Cut as round patties, this extremely tender meat can be used in individual beef en croute or served with a delicious sherry, cream and mushroom sauce.  Two 110g/4oz steaks in each tray weighing a total of 225g/8oz.

 

 

SIRLOIN STEAK

A delicious steak, twice the size of the fillet, taken from along the back.  A healthier way of cooking this steak is to grill rather than fry.  Two 225g/8oz steaks in each tray weighing a total of 450g/1lb.

 

 

RUMP STEAK

A hearty serving taken from the best rump end of the beast.   Two 225g/8oz steaks in each tray weighing a total of 450g/1lb.

 

 

 

CASSEROLE MEAT:

BRAISING STEAK

Terrick Beef braising is sold in 455g/1lb bags and is ideal for casseroles.  Sold as two large slices, to be prepared at home as desired.

 

 

DICED STEWING STEAK

Terrick Beef stewing is sold in 455g/1lb bags and is ideal for casseroles.  Sold cubed for your convenience.

 

 

 

MINCE:

LEAN MINCE

Sold in 450g/1lb bags.

This quantity would be sufficient to create the meat content for a satisfying spaghetti bolognese for a family of four.

Please remember, all the prices on the order form are per kilo. 

 

BEEFBURGERS:

BEEF BURGERS

Sold at the traditional weight of 110g/4oz each.  This is the only product on the order form which is not advertised at its price per kilo.  The price is per beef burger.

The burgers are sold in trays of four.

When you order burgers please state quantities in multiples of four.
